I'm not real familiar with these, so I thought I would ask a few questions. How many of you guys use one? What are the pros & cons? Should a person buy the Digital Troll Master or the Digital Troll Master ProII? Can a person (not a very mechanical person) install one these on their own? Are they difficult to install? Thanks for any of your input.

Great addition to your boat if you troll. I use mine all the time when trolling for walleyes, and muskies. Very easy to adjust and repeat your speed. The Pro model has a momentary full throttle button. Use this when you need to speed up for a moment, or to help set the hook when trolling muskies. I don't know of any bad things to say about it. Installation is fairly easy, and come with pretty good directions. Bill is always a great source for help.

Mudduck,

I use mine as the only source to control the throttle on my T8 Yamaha. They are east to install and really help control the speed of your kicker motor. I would not spent the extra money for the model with the surge feature, it's just as easy to rotate the dial to gain a sudden burst of speed as it is to push a button.

I have had to replace 2 of them in the last year, (both broke about a year old each), but the guys at Trollmaster stood behind their product with no questions asked and gave me great customer service. I would definitly buy another trollmaster.

You really don't know important they are unless you've never used one. They are light years ahead of trying to deal with your kicker's throttle, that always seems to have that dead spot between going to fast or slow. One of the most necessary pieces of equipment on my boat.

I have fished with Hutch and the Trollmaster he used worked great. No fumbling for that perfect speed on the tiller handle, just micro-dial it in with the trollmaster.

The Trollmaster is so important that I'm surprised that they are not standard equipment with kicker motors.
