| I trolled 19-21 feet quite a bit last year and did not find that bait to be effective under the following conditions.
I would troll #5 glass Perch shads and Green Perch Little Rippers at 105 feet back with fireline and I would catch Walleyes. I also had excellent luck with deep Storm Jr's in Natural Perch same 105 back. I tried the Berkley adjusting for depth (they run shallower) and could not pull a fish all season.
I have 6 in every color (at $2.99 they seamed like a good bait to try), but I can honestly say that I did not catch a Walleye on any color while I was catching them on the other baits all year on Bago.
I would recommend buying #5 Glass Perch Shadraps, Green Perch Little Rippers and Deep Storm Jr's in Natural Perch. The last bait is the hardest to find, Sportsman’s in Depere will order them. I could not find them anywhere on the shelf.... lot of other colors like firetiger, but no natural Perch.

| Ralph,
Were they the Berkley or the Cabelas brand... I've been there about 6 timers in the past 2 months and I noticed that the Cabelas brand imitations were all on sale for $1.99. So if anyone is looking for Shadrap, Rapala stick baits, Rippers... Cabelas has the imitation version on sale for $1.99 each.
Anyone every use the imitation baits from Cabelas ??

Location: Green Bay, WI | I just ordered 46 of them last night. Two of each color and size.
I think the 2" will work well on the upper lakes in early spring. I think they offer better colors that Rapala. |

| Hi guys,
Keith and I designed these baits for Berkley. We had the final say on actions and colors. I used them on eight different bodies of water last year, trolling side by side with original and rattling shad raps. The Flicker shads outfished the others on every lake. You'll need to play with colors, depths and sizes, but I think you'll be happy.

| when u check out they ring up at $1.99 there is a sale going on |

| I was just there yesterday and the display right above the Flicker shads says "$1.99" Like I said, I bought each color and size (72 total) and they all rang up at $1.99.
They said the offer will last as long as the supplies last. Not very long I would guess. Another tournament guy bought 72 of larger size.

They run deeper than the balsa shad raps.
They rattle.
Watch your tune after big fish.
Love them
They rocked, last time out last year. |

| Guys,
For those of you who are interested in the dive curve of these baits, go to thenextbite.com in the forum section. There is a post called berkley flickershads and crystal fireline which has the curve right from Mark Romanack. (the guy who makes the precision trolling books)

| Of course they outfished the shad raps................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

|
| Off Course,
As I mentioned way back in this post, I tried the deep diving minnow version last summer with no luck when I was running Glass Perch #5 Shad Raps, Little Rippers and Dj's. But I thought I'd give the new flicker shad a try this summer. If they don't work for me, I'll have 72 slightly used Frenzy Flicker Shads for sale Cheep!!!

Location: Menasha, WI | I just got done watching a show on VS. and the boys were running them. They seem like great baits. I think they are a little bit bigger then a number 5 shad rap, and therefore they must run a little deeper. The colors look good, and I will def. have some of these in my rig this summer. Gary and Chase, my question to you guys is, I am friends of the Baltz family, an I know you know them. Call me soon, we need to talk about the PWT tourney. shoot me an E-mail at [email protected],
I think I can help!!! Gary . I gave you my card.....call me

| This lure is my go to bait at a certain lake I fish in the summer months. The lake has loads of flooded timber with about 1ft, sometimes less, visibility. The fish seem to stack up and hold tight to the flooded trees. They have a strong preference for this lure for some reason. I don't know if its the loud rattles, the action or what it is. Another plus is that it is suprisingly snagless considering its near neutral bouyancy.
I give it two thumbs up. |

| Thanks for all of the good posts about the Flicker Shads. Keith and I take a lot of pride in what we do in this industry and it was really cool to develop a bait from scratch with the best R and D people in the fishing world...the Berkley boys! The most awesome thing about this project is seeing how well they catch fish under so many different conditions. We wanted this action to be one that attracted fish for the longest period of time during the year, so we really worked on it hard...to get it right. I see someone thought it was just a promo. Well as highly sponsored as the two of us are I guess just about everything we do could be considered a promo in a way, however, after 22 years of tournament fishing you don't survive unless you provide rock solid fish catching information. If you only knew how many times I turned down the action or color or shape before signing off...bottom line is the baits catch fish and I'm proud to be a part of their development. It's surprising how much money was won on the various tours last year with very few people fishing the baits. I hope all of you have the success and enjoyment with the the Flicker Shads as what Keith and I have had. And AXL, hopefully we can talk a week or so before the tournament...your reputation on the system proceeds you and I'd be happy if you could give me a general feel on what stage my old stomping grounds will be in when I get there! Thanks again and Best Fishes.

| I guess the lure I was refering to in my earlier post wasn't a flicker shad it was the Berkley Frenzy Diver. Sorry. My bad.
Anyway the Fenzy Diver is also an awsome lure. |
