Location: Appleton, WI | Hey folks.
I really do not go on this site alot, because:
1) I really know very little about 'Eyes
2) Shep is gonna show me some stuff this year
so, here are my questions:
Is the Erie dearie still a viable presentation? how do you present it in WI waters? I found several, including the old Mepps weight forward Lusox in my basement. Should they be part of my aresenal?
Thanx, Rob | |

Location: Orland Park, IL | Cant say that I have used the erie derie on Green bay or Winnebago. I have, however, stripped the erie derie down and use it as an in line weight for my crawler harnesses.

Location: Rhinelander | It'll work, Rob, but not as well as the spinner rigs Shep shows you how to tie.

| I haven't used an ErieDearie since 1986! I tried them on Bago around that time, and didn't have much luck. I think they pretty much quit using them in the mid 90's on Erie. They don't get the mile long and wide schools of fish like they had back then. I'm sure they would still work in the right conditions, though.
The best thing I could show you Rob, is the use of the different weights we use with crawler harnesses, for different conditions. Split shots, Keel weights, and snap weights, and lead core all have their time when they seem to shine.
I'll get you out this year, and we'll catch some GB hawgs!
