Friend and I put in at Genoa yesterday and picked up 3 keepers and tossed back a couple. Nice day out there, little breeze but Man it was great being back out on the water, even if it was in the little 14ft tug boat.

Tom how did you get your boat in? I drove down by the landing on Sat. afternoon and it was still full of snow. If this weather keeps up we will be drilling holes by the dam for the WAT...

There was a lane down the ramp open on Sunday. Not sure if someone plowed it open. How much snow was on it on Saturday? The ramp had one lane completely de iced and no snow on Sunday.

I hear you on the wat. Not sure if we are going to fish it this year or not. One day tourney and same price. I have a feeling they are going to loose a few more teams this year again.

Ya, it better warm up quick to get that ice out from up by the dam.

Looks like you guys are going to get a taste of the high water we are dealing with down here when that warmer temps come around. But congrats on that first fish, that always feels good.

Hey Bear - you, me, and about 3 dozen other people must drove to the ramp Sat.. Did you happen to see the couple of boats that must not have been lucky enough to get out Friday during the snow? I went on down river to my favorite pizza hole and seen 1 boat the whole way. This weekend should be a different story although I think the ice goes clear to the end of Theif Slough on the channel side..

Are you saying the river is open from the dam to the ramp?
