| I just saw the flip over rear casting deck/seat on the Lund Classics. ( http://www.lundboats.com/1775_1660_classic_07.html ) The unit flips down to offer a larger rear casting deck and then flips up into two seats. It hinges to the rear deck. I am thinking that this would be the answer on my 200 Lund Angler 1700. I could then use the boat as a true FISH/Family boat. I was told that Lund does not sell the unit seperately.
I am looking for suggestions on material to use for the construction. I am thinking about plactic composite materials to resist water. I hav read previous posts regarding casting decks but still have questions.

| I was going to make a rear casting deck for my 2002 Angler SS. Never did get around to it. I was going to use the two rear seat bases to support it, with additional support on the sides, and a vertical piece in the front. I suppose tyou could add some fold-down seats. I still have the posts and seat adaptors, and antelope carpet, if you need them. I was going to cut to length, and have Midas or such expand them to fit the adaptor. Also would have to remove the plastic insert that angle the seat.
You might want to try a marine or auto upolstery shop to sew the seats.
Good luck with the project.

Location: Rhinelander | The new plastic materials are expensive, and heavy too. I'd use treated plywood, and look for the seating at West Marine or one of the big boating accessories catalogs.
