I like to be able to see my line when casting a light jig in low light, so I tend to use hi-vis 4# during the early Walleye season up here. I've been so Muskie wrapped, I've lost touch with what's happening in the world of light line. What in your opinion is the best hi vis 4# to 6# monofilament out there? Gotta respool...

My questions exactly, why monofilament ? I can't answer the question as I haven't used it on anything but leaders in so long.

I don't use a lot of mono any more. There are some better hi vis flourocarbons now. I used the Vanish Transition gold last year. I was actually pretty impressed with the performance. I believe P-Line has a new Hi-Vis Flouro out this year. I'm a big P-Line fan.

If you're not 100% stuck on mono, consider these flouros too.

I still like Ironsilk solar. It IS stronger then regular mono of the same LB test and stays limp. The only negative is that it does not like the sun. If you leave it out for a few days, the UV rays make it brittle. Since I take good care of my stuff, this is never an issue.

I can't use the superlines because I miss so many fish setting the hook to early. That's why I use the mono. Thanks, everyone. Anyone else got a line on some line?

I'm curious as to why my post was changed? and to such degree? I don't appreciate others putting words in my mouth. I gave an answer regarding hi vis line and didn't slam anybody. It seems an older post was cut and pasted to replace.

Not sure what is going on there Jayman, that is actually my reply to the post showing up under your name. Something got screwed up in the post - certainly not intentional. This happened last week on muskiefirst also.

To my knowledge they still are making it. I just bought some 3 weeks ago or so. Sensation Solar. Maybe it was overstock from last year I have no idea!
