Location: Manitowoc, WI | Gentlemen,
I am in the process of registering my new G3. Is there a place where I can walk into and register it instead of sending it off to the state? Do county courthouses do this? How about some type of registrar? |

| Do they do it at the Lic plate places like here in MN? I just go in and they handle my plates and all the stickers and DNR stuff right there. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | All registration I believe goes to Madison to be processed. Usually your dealer takes care of that when you buy the boat. But your stickers will be sent to you hopefully in a timely manner. They usually are but has been known to take a few weeks to get them from my experience. So to answer your question, you can not just go to a courthouse and take care of it. That's not how it works. |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | I don't have a dealer....I took direct delivery from the factory. I'd rather walk into a place and get everything done direct instead of sending all this junk in the mail. |

| A buddy of mine walk into the d.n.r. station in Oshkosh and renewed his registration for his boat today, if he wanted the stickers right away it was 5 dollars extra or he could have them sent to him and they told him it would be about 10 days to get. I'm sure you could go up there and get your boat registered. |

| Jerry all DNR service centers can issue you the registration paperwork, I believe you need to carry the paperwork with you as I think they have to send you the stickers.

| Jerry,
If you can't get the Registration papers/Numbers before the first event....I would think that as long as you have a copy of the paperwork, along with the copy of the payment, on you... that should be enough evidence of registration until you can get your stickers mailed to you.
Afterall, you can only move as fast as the State allows.
Just my take on it.

Probably would help to fill out the forms before you go:

| They are open Tuesday through Friday from 8:15 to 4. They do close from noon to one each day which I discovered by driving there to do business on my lunch hour. |

Location: Port Washington, wisconsin | Jerry, I just renewed mine on the DNR website. Search around and you should find the spot to do it.( recreational vehicle regis. I believe) Got my stickers in a week, and the receipt you print out is good to go till the stickers come. |

You can only renew registration for previosly registered boats online. You're right, it's a very convenient service but it looks like jerry needs to 'first time' register which is not possible through the online service. |
