Location: Darboy USA | I'm curious to see what other Bago Chain fishermen are using for color sequences on their spinner rigs? I was always an alternate color guy, such as 2 orange, 2 gold, 2 orange, etc.
However, in one of the latest versions of FLW Outdoors magazine they had the color sequences for some of the best spinner fishermen and I was surprised to see mostly solid one color beads, with maybe a red or orange one up by the clevice.
I realize most of these are trolled on the Great Lakes, but do any of you run your local rigs like this? I'm interested to see what the rest of you guys think. I'm pretty sure I'll be experimenting with this come May.

Location: Menasha, WI | Last summer, I was on a reef bite that was all about gold so I tied some harnesses with nothing but gold; gold hooks, gold beads, gold blades, even gold floaters. They worked pretty well. I've tied a bunch more of these for this summer.
However, I am also tying a variety of combo colored harnesses too, alternating bead patterns, bead-blade patterns, etc.. Some of the color combos I'm building include gold/purple, gold/red, purple/chartreuse, red/chartruse, purple/red, blue/white, and green/white. My wife thinks I'm a freak because I've tied so many variations.
I'd also like to hear what colors others are using too.

Location: LaCrosse, WI | I have had some success on Bago trolling with solid colors of beads. I use stacker beads for any smaller harnesses. This usually makes it easier and faster to make my harnesses.
That being said, I've done equally as well with two different bead colors. I always like a pearl color on Bago. Solid blue has been good, as has green. Watermellon color combos have worked decent too.

| I usually start out with a simple color red beads and a hammered gold or copper blade. I then go to a white blue combo with gold blade. one that works well is a red, white, blue, whie, red 2 beads each 8mm with a gold hammered blade I always tie a treble on the back hook and now will only run the hook rigs | |

Location: Winneconne | ok, ill give up 3 of my 5 hottest combos for last year on Poygan, the last 2 i will keep as "top secret" as ive never seen or heard of a combo even remotely close the these and they were just phenomenal
1) 6 Solid orange 6mm faceted beads with a solid orange #5 colorado blade, and another orange bead before the blade
2) 8 solid gold 4mm round plated gold beads, #3 hammered gold colorado, and another gold bead
3) red hooks, 2 6mm red facted beads, 3 6mm blue facted beads, a rainbow trout proscale #3 colorado, followed by 1 clear 3mm facted bead(this one was by far the HOTTEST in my arsenal mid may last year)
Good luck to all this year, im going to be experimenting with quite a few different combos this year as i went nuts on blades off Ebay 3 weeks ago..............needless to say, ive got more blades then ill EVER use in my lifetime...........watch the trade board soon as i try to offload some that i have excessive amounts of.

| like the guys in FLW magazine are going to give out their best colors, come on man these guys werent born yesterday.
But there was one thing by "The Pose", they all use "eye beads" every single one of them. You can take that one to the bank, they did by winning millions on tour.

| Dont believe the posse either.I fish with them from time to time and really never saw any beads in there arsenal. | |
