Location: Orland Park, IL | Have been using the fluro leader material. What the take on this? Worth the usage, or should I stick to something more conventional? |

I would use a uni knot to tie a leader to fireline and surgeons knot to tie the leader material inches from the bottom. I know the surgeons works pretty good. But can I use the surgeon knot to tie to fireline? |

| I used the Gamma leader material last year for tieing harnesses. I was pleased with it and would use it again. Used Gamma line on my trolling reels. Switched partway through the season and went back to Trilene XT. Would not use the Gamma line again for that type of presentation. Just my opinion. |

| I can tell you, I have done the Gamma test myself...hundreds of times. The line is not abraided, scuffed, baked, fried, or otherwise messed with. Should you not believe me, Grab your own spools off the shelf and try it for yourself. I stand behind the product all the way

| As for the PLine Flouroclear. Yup, the stuff almost never breaks, but you are no comparing apples to apples when comparing with any other mono or copolymer. It is coated with flouro carbon, which makes it a heck of a lot tougher than mono or copoly. |

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Just got my hands on some Gamma for the first time. So far so good! I'll keep ya' all posted through the summer but for now, I'd say that it is Gamma all the way for my mono applications. I'll still need to put it side by side with super braids for some applications.
I like what I am seeing so far. I have a spool for spinning reel applications for bass fishing with clients. I'll try to get some more for my line counters and see what that is like next. |

| I have personally used Gamma for over 2 years now and it is the strongest mono/copolymer line for the diameter on the market that I have ever seen.
Gamma has copolymer/mono, Fluorocarbon lines and leader material. Copolymer is not Fluorocarbon. I love their Fluorocarbon for leaders and use the copolymer for my main line.
Good fishing,

| Hard to believe that a guy sponsored by Gamma would say anything otherwise....... |

I have a hard time believing that at Ted's point in life he has to promote any products that he doesn't truly believe in. Ted doesn't need free line from anyone to say a few nice things.
Have you met Ted? I have and I believe that he is sincere when he speaks of the quality equipment that he uses.
Have you tried the line? Again, I have and I am ordering more to try it for additional applications. I very pleased with what I see. I'll report more when I get a chance in th every near future to use it extensively. Right now, I'd say that the 8 pound test is great for dock fishing using Seinko's.
Their 14 pound test is the same diameter of 10 pound XT. I like the idea of using heavier pound test while still being able to use the charts in Precision Trolling.
What are your experiences? |

| I'm going to agree with Sunshine on this one, Ted doesnt "need" to promote anything...I consider Ted a good friend and I can tell you first hand that he wont promote anything he doesnt believe in.
On the Gamma thing I've tried it and I like it but to agree with an earlier poster I like P-Line but he was a bit off on the "same diameter as 10# berkley" the 15 pound test Flouroclear is actually a bit thinner diameter than 10# XT. Gamma is very good line but I personally use Halo from P-Line, it's expensive but whats a few more bucks on a spool of line when we're being milked 3 1/2 bucks for a gallon of "middle eastern liquid gold" |

| Thank you to those who have met me and know that I only talk/use/promote those products that I believe in. If I don't use it, I don't go after them as sponsors.
Gamma line is so strong that when I was at Francis Case this past April, my jig was stuck in a rock. I pulled on the new hi vis 8 pound Gamma and when it finally did break, I practically fell backwards and stepped on one of my St. Croix rods laying on the other side of the boat. $300 smooshed rod. Almost went out of the boat. It is extraordinary!
Why would I risk my reputation on product that doesn't perform? It isn't worth it. I'll stand behind any of my sponsor's products 100%!
It is my belief that when someone posts on any of these websites, that they are looking for opinions. My opinion is just as valid as anyone else who posts on this board.
I post my opinions/recommendations and put my name out there for people to see what I use.
Go ahead and try Gamma line. I'm pretty sure you'll agree as to its performance.

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | As promised, I’d like to give an update on my use of the Gamma High Performance copolymer line. I just returned from The FLW Tour event where I used this line exclusively. I used the Moss Green 14 lb. test copolymer on all my trolling setups. I’m extremely happy with the results of this line and plan on using it for more applications. I liked the fact that it is a higher strength to diameter than my previous line. I can still use the precision trolling charts and data while going to 14 pound test.
The line appeared to have a great knot strength and very good shock resistance. I was very pleased with its suppleness and zero spool memory while maintaining a high abrasion resistance.
The Gamma High Performance copolymer line will be used in my boat for a long time.
For more information, you may want to check out the review on this line from BassFan at http://www.bassfan.com/reviews_article.asp?ID=87
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I think that I will try their fluorocarbon line next.
