Location: Rhinelander | Watch for more images of Gordy during the event. He's been prefishing the river hard, and the event looks to be fished there if winds don't let up.

Location: Rhinelander | It's going to be rough out there today. Gordy said he needs to swing for the fence, so he'll be trying the big water first. |

| Thanks guys! I did'nt play my cards very well this event, but had a good time in some tough weather. The jig bite was pretty good, I just could'nt get that 1 bigger fish to jump up in the standings. I still caught 15 fish each of the 1st 2 days, they were all cookie cutters. The last day I spent to much time running in the lake, when I should have just stuck to the river and got (5) 1st. It was muddy but fish were still being caught, I could only manage 2 late in the afternoon.
I did get some real nice fish pre-fishing (usually 1-2 a day in that 6-8 pound range) could have used one during the event! Oh well another lesson learned about the Detroit river. The boat ran great and everything is still intact even after two long runs in some rough waters on the lake.
Now it's off to Redwing starting next weekend, need a better finish than Det. and make some better decisions.
P.S -Dan give me a call I need your help with something. 612-232-7188 |
