The NCA (National Crawler Association) has just announce a simultaneous Pro-Am elimination Crawlering tournament to coincide with the FLW.

Hours will be: Dusk to Dawn each day the top 50% of the field will be eliminated at day break (you can still fish that other little tournament you guys are in during the day)

Slot Limit: 1 dozen-bag limit with no more than 1 crawler over 12 inches. Coolwhip containers will be checked at the beginning of each night and crawlerers are not allowed to exit the park. No "Ice cream buckets allowed"

Area to crawl: The park just south of the actual boat landing bordered by the gravel and pavement. Anyone caught entering the neighbors yards will be immediately eliminated from the competition.

Prizes to be announced.....

For those of you not familiar with the NCA…. I posted the rules from current President “Leaf Blower”

(National Crawler association)

We held our annual meeting this past weekend and I wanted you all to be aware of some new laws that have been put in place.

Section I, part B, paragraph GG declares= No crawler hunter may possess over 500 crawlers in a single container. This is to try and avoid the recent outbreak of CWD (Crawler Wasting disease).

Section IV, part F, paragraph RR declares= If a crawler is wounded or injured while trying to capture the crawler, you must count this toward your daily bag limit.

Section VII, part D, paragraph XX declares= If a crawler you catch is albino, you must turn this into the NCA for research purposes.

Section XIII part Q, paragraph LL declares= No crawler hunter is allowed to use an electronic device that gives off more then 10 million candle power in the attempt to hunt crawlers.

Section XIII part R, paragraph ZZ declares- no crawler hunter may use more then 2 pounds of bait to try and attract a crawler. This is once again in regards to CWD (Crawler Wasting Disease)

We will continue to keep you updated as the laws become final. feel free to respond to these rules on this thread, and I will make an attempt to answer you as quickly as we can.

NCA-President,

Leaf Blower

Uhhhhh... I need a rules ruling... "Dusk to Dawn"... is that local to the site being hunted... or your home site, despite where you are hunting... or the official NCA office location time... and what is dusk? Before, during, at or after sunset... People want to know...
