Location: Rhinelander | Strong NE winds whipped Winnebago into nearly unfishable condition today, and blew many of the Pros completely off their A plan. Limits were not uncommon, but the weights were way off from the last two days of pre-fishing.
Scott Fairbairn holds first place with a 14.94# Day One basket. Luke Leanna is just behind Mr. Fairbairn with 14.37#. Only about 1 pound separates 20th from 10th, and less than 2 pounds separates 20th from 3rd. At this point, it's a shootout if the bigger fish go tomorrow.
The weather is forecast to be flat mean tomorrow, with winds out of the dreaded NE at 10 to 20, rain, and temperatures similar to today's. Watch tomorrow morning for an early update on conditions and the day Two morning report.
I spoke with Kevin Luebke this afternoon, and he reports Nathaniel is doing well after his last treatment. Good news, indeed!
