How much do these have to go for on Ebay until you start making a comparable bait??! You are killing me here man.

I need to get some of these and I would actually prefer the Normark (newer) versions more. Has anyone seen these around at all? Maybe a store has a bunch left they are trying to get rid of??? Any help would be appreciated.

Rich, not to worry those fish will be heading to the hole soon and you'll be able to use the "traditional baits" In the meantime try runing your shad baits 10-12 back in those shallow waters. But I'll second the need for those baits as the new Berkly firestick has been a nice alternative. (If you can find them)
Good luck

I have never heard of the firestick. Is it as small as the babies?

She is starting to get ripe out there right now. Too bad the NE wind is coming for the weekend. I got the Romey's tournament this Saturday and am curious to see if the fish have gotten any bigger since the MWS. Winnebago is as hot as I have ever seen it. I hope everyone is taking advantage of it. Lets get out there one of these days Tyee. I will show you mine of you show me yours

Funny you ask me for a comparable Storm Baby Thunderstick type bait, Rich....and then go on to say that you prefer the newer Rapala-made ones!! Shot that one down before it got started!!

I have actually had a zillion requests to make a "Baby".....just not doing it at this very moment. Thanks for the compliment, (I think).

Rich,
Fox River Bait had some Babies only had them in two colors though maybe had 8 to 10 left last time I checked. Know what you mean they worked awesome but like Tyee said #5 shad rap 12 to 13 behind the board works just as well.

I do like the old style better but there is one color pattern in the new style that really produces. Now if you start making them I know they will be the best yet. I am willing to get my viscectomy reversed and name my next child after you if you will start making these. I will even promise to burn all my Rapala versions and get a "I love Dave Storm" Tattoo across my forehead. Next I throw in a lifetime supply of walleye fillets (since I will now be able to catch them). I am not done yet, I will also shave off all the hair on my body including my eyebrows to draw more attention to myself thus more people read my tattoo. I trust you to make the right decision here Dave

You need the 2.5". You can order from Berkley but they are back to the normal pricing.
There were none from Chicago to Green Bay 2 weeks ago and I doubt that has changed as I don't think the introductory pricing is available any longer.

Good Luck
Tyee

Dave, that was a compliment and let me know when you have a prototype, I have a list of colors that would do wonders here for our April/May bite!

WOW! Now, Rich....SOME of those things you mention you would do for me I would be interested in seeing! lol

I too loved the Baby Thunderstick and have heard nothing but great things lately about people missing them. I know that a lot of things have changed with the baits people were used to over the years. I cannot believe it has been 8 years since my dad sold the company.....time has REALLY flown by.

Be sure that if I do come out with a "Baby KA-BOOM! Shiner"....I will be coming to see you perform the zany acts that you say you will do! Who knows, I might be "expecting' some time soon....(although it would mean that I would also have to have my vascectomy reversed in order to concieve again!) haha Miracles can happen!

LOL your on Jon. Dave, if you get me some early I also promise to post a pic of EVERY walleye I catch on them here on walleye first. I will make an ongoing thread with nothing but pictures of walleyes with Baby Shiners hanging from their mouths. Let me know if you need any ideas for color patterns.
