| The lake traffic here doesn't open up until 6 AM, so the PWT started an hour later than usual to accommodate those who launched elsewhere and traveled to Hunters Point resort by water.
Winds are south and moderate, with partly cloudy skies and warm temps forecast into the 80's. Thunderstorms are in the forecast as well, but nothing that looks like a serious frontal line. That could change later in the day as the atmosphere heats up; it's very humid here after yesterday's rains.
The bite has been excellent. Lund/Mercury Pro Steve Fellegy told WalleyeFIRST in a video interview this morning he felt most of the field would find the necessary slot fish under 20", it was a matter of combining upper end slots with one over 28".
As a result of the later start, the weigh in should begin about 4PM this afternoon, central Time. Watch the WalleyeFIRST Interactive live leaderboard for results!

| Some clouds have moved in, and the wind is up a bit, but weather still looks pretty good for the day. Image gallery is complete for the morning, and video will soon be ready to view. | |

| The bite was definitely as good as reputed to be, but the fish over 28" were scarce today. Most of the field weighed 5 fish; the kicker fish was the key to a top ten. Anyone could win this event at this point, literally.
The leaders weighed in early, beating WalleyeFIRST to the weigh in site by a few minutes. We will have the images uploaded in an afternoon gallery very soon!

| Hey Steve,
Any chance you could get a pic of the new wraps on the PWT boats this year? Maybe you did get a few pics and I just missed them but would be interested to see what they look like if possible? But nice job on the pics! | |
