| Thank you all for the congrats.
Dave and I had a great time. What a turn of events for us. Prefish, we hit them big and were confident we could at least give a good representation.
Saturday, our prime spot was full of catfish and sheephead. I can tell you that this system still has a large and healthy population of flatheads, because we caught more 10# plus than we cared to count on Saturday.
We struggled to put 3 17-19 in the boat in the first 5 hours working various spots.
In our last spot on day one, Dave put a 6 and a 4 in the box in 10 minutes!
Dat 2, it was another spot that allowed us to have our 17# in the box by 11AM.
We thought we had a good chance of staying in the top ten, and hoping for a top five. They held us for the last weight, and when the tank guys looked at our fish and gave that kinda reassuring nod as they observed the fish in the basket, it was then that I first got nervous, because that was the point that Dave and I thought we could really do this. I will never forget when that 17 flashed on the lcd.
Dave is a great jig fisherman and I always know that one of us will get bit if they are there. I am still flying a little bit, as you can tell by this ramble. I feel great!
Take care,
Jim O

| Great show, Jim and Dave.
It was fun watching you in the boat prior to take off Sunday morning. How many times did you re-tie those jigs?! hehehe A bit nervous, but yet a quiet confidence, as you went about your business. A team well deserving of a big win, you're both great guys. And your smiles couldn't have been brighter as you read the scale!
Congrats! |

| Shep,
When you guys motored by during the pre-start I guess I was not too talkative.
I noticed that one of my lines was bad and wanted it ready to roll before we hit the spots. Of course, I then thought I should re-tie them all, just to be safe. What a great idea 10 minutes before the starting gun!
Take care,
Jim O |
