| Rich,
I'm by myself all weekend... you can fish with me, but I only want to keep first prize... you can have second prize, I'm not into that stuff!!
Maybe we could make this like an Olympic event, the Biathlon, Crawlering first and then fishing only with the crawlers you caught with one hand tied behind your back.
Just remember... MY LAWN IF OFF LIMITS UNLESS YOU WEAR GOLF SHOES WITH SPIKES!
PS... since I never get to fish Tournaments... is it ok if I run to Ganoes and pickup 6 fish and hide them in my livewell till weigh in? Just wondering how the rules will work?

| Purple skeeter, it seems to me that if you enter a tournament of this stature that you must obey the laws, and once again your organization is always trying to twist and turn things around. Here at the MWLA we do things by the book. We believe in honesty and truth, unlike the NCA, which you are the Vice-President of.
I would think that the 2nd prize in this tourney is one to treasure. Just think, as of right now, you get to see Shep, Rich S, Axle, and several other well known anglers. I just would like to know how these anglers plan on showing off their sponsorships during the 2nd place photo. Any thoughts? |

Stakes are too high for me. The last time a photo of this nature circulated around it became very ugly. And seeing who has signed up, I can see it getting uglier. |

| This is an upper lakes tourney. No fishing east of the west side of the 41 bridge.
Take off is at the Other Place in Winneconne. A Bloody Mary is included in the entry fee.

| We need to clarify the tournament rules and post a list of contestants by friday otherwise Denny will get all up in arms about "not having a list of anglers posted by the start of the event." jk... Denny
I guess it comes down to a vote by Majority...
A. Upper lakes only. Launch at the Other place (submitted by Shep)
B. Calumet Co Park. (submitted by Cranky)
C. Chicked to be included at all events (M_Komo) we all knew it was coming.
We'll need times and a way to weigh or measure the bounty. Contest limited to anyone in the lower 48 states. Must be present to fish and win... or something like that. And I'll need to find a co-angler... no experience or equipment necessary...
Event to be nanes after winner!

| I vote that the weigh scale only go to the first decimal place. I'm tired of losing money by .0? of an ounce. First Rich and I missed 3rd in the MWS this Spring by .02 and then my Dad and I missed big fish on Sunday in Merc by .03. Am I having a lucky year or what!? Four weeks in a row of tournaments, why not make it a fifth. I'll have to check with the wife though, I think she has a pretty big honey do list for me to work on this weekend.
By the way, I vote for everything West of the railroad bridge in Oshkosh. |

| PS, I'll be your Huckleberry....er, co-angler. Or you can be mine.
I want to kick Rich's butt. Oh, wait. I beat him at the FLW League event! FIrst time for everything, as they say.
Who are they, anyway? |

Shep, I am amazed you were able to beat 6 lbs in the FLW. First time for everything.
For the tournament, I don't need a boat just someone to drop me off at my spot and pick me up. I can stand and slip bobber all day. |

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Man Shep ............ you had me thinking all morning (sorry to change the subject)
"I'll be your huckleberry": Doc Holliday to Wyatt Earp in Tombstone. It was the WAY he said it. Great flick!!! |

| Also, it was Doc to Johnny Ringo, one of the hired guns of the Clanton gang. I think he said it twice in the movie.
Val Kilmer played Doc Holiday pretty good in Tombstone. That was the better one, with Kurt Russell.
Here, it's used again in a Tobey Keith song.
"Baby I’ll be your Huckleberry, you don’t have to double dare me
If the ride gets wild and scary count on me to be right there
You’re so extra ordinary sweet like maraschino cherries
We’ll grow up and we’ll get married
I’m gonna be your Huckleberry"
I liked the movie better than the song.

Location: Rhinelander | yep, Doc Holiday was the one who said that to Ringo. I've seen that movie too many times, that's a certainty.
I'm glad I can't hear Shep singing that song..... |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | OK Who evers entering can forward to me, direct, postmarked no later than 9:27PM on the 12th of june, dead presidents only, in the sum of 500.00 u.s. dollars only. There will be a late fee starting at 9:28pm the 12th of 1 case of cold ones for the rules meeting. Your name will be listed with the rest of the clan by 9:27PM on friday the 15th for the event. Late members will not be listed as they will not be eligible to win anyhow.
As far as Rich waxing, Hmmmmm..... back row for YOU!!
All rules will be decided friday at the rules meeting at the other place. After 6 cold ones this will really be interesting.
P.S. The official scale for the event will be the K-Mart De-Liar in Black. If your tape measure says the fish is 15" it will be good enough for the weigh master. |

Location: Berlin | I will even throw in the used wax strips for the guy that takes 3rd! As an added bonus, Starz is sponsoring this and is adding $10,000. To make it fair, they are having one of their girls go with every boat to make sure everything is on the "up and up". |

Location: Berlin | As far as the scale goes, we should have Denny lay on a bed of nails and we will lay our baskets of fish on top of him. Whoever makes him bleed the most wins. Maybe we can also allow one carp per team. |

| I don't know about carp, Rich. I think we should use catfish instead. I don't think anybody will have a problem catching one of those. |

Location: LaCrosse, WI | If that's the case, I have a few heavy rocks in my yard that I've been meaning to weigh. I'd pay the entry just to watch that weigh in.
I would have to toss some fish back if I thought I was too close to getting 2nd place though. There are some things that I have to protect my child from seeing. That picture getting out on the internet would be enough to ensure at least one generation of children would never even consider Walleye fishing.
I can hear my child crying in the middle of the night allready. "Daddy, I had a nightmare about that man with the red marks and the little patches of hair again!!!" Come to think of it, I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight now.
Thanks for the mental image guys, I think I remember why I live on the other side of the state now. |

| Rich S-I thought about doing the full body waxing and tanning as well, but decided to just shave the word TUFFY out of my back hair.
I also would like to know who is the official sanctioning board for this tourney? Is it the National Crawler Association (NCA) or the Midwest Leech Association.(MWLA)
Are we going to have to draw straws for the Starz Personnel?
Is walleyefirst going to be covering this event???
Is 9:27 central or standard time for late fees? |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | 927 is for the local time in your area. we know how the east side is set on a whole different time schedule so we will let them sign in on there own sweet time.
as far as weighing in on a bed of nails, I thought about it and decided the k-mart deliar is a much better choice, for my health mostly.
The personel from starz will be in my official boat of the event. If I decide to hand out observers at some point in the day, then so be, but they will be with me making sure every thing is on the up and up.
Or, as henry blake on mash would say when a tough decision was to be made, "Heck, what ever you guys think will be fine with me". |

| I just changed my mind... I now want the tournament to be held out of Winnebago Co Boat landing. It has absolutly nothing to do with the fact that my business partner caught 5 fish over 20 including a 24 off Garlic Island. With the limitted pre-fishing this week, I have to rely on people for fishing tips.
I was planning on heading to the bay of Green Bay tomorrow, but I may have to pre-fish for this tournament now that it has been established that I can't bring fish back from Ganoes.

| Just get out your 6' jigging rods with fireline puton a No. 8 gold tru-turn one big sinker and a fathead....oh yeah keep it about 1-2 inches off bottom. That simple. going out there in the morn before work. The bago bite sucked for me...fished from 5-7.4 dinks. Should've went north. fished 3 1/2 miles from hook hill south. Dad and brother did well and they weren't north. |
