Location: Appleton | I took this from another board please keep Gary and family in your prayers
Thanks
"Gary Gray"
Just passing on info for those who have not heard. Prior to blast-off on Sunday at the Merc National, all anglers were asked cut their engines and turn radios to Channel 16. We were told that Gary Gray's health situation was very bleak and a prayer was said for Gary over the radio. I am sure Gary would have given anything to have been sitting in a walleye boat getting ready to compete on Sunday like we were. In addition to thinking of Gary, it made a lot of us pause to give thanks for the priviledge of being on the water because there will come a day when all of us will have fished our last tournament (on this earth anyway!).

| our prayers for you and your family Gary,, i remember the first time i met you also, MWC after day one, you standing with a hand on one hip and a cola in the other, next to young Skarlis at the time.. bigger than life it seemed . i remember it as it was the first big tournament i ever fished. i think it was around 93 not sure.. anyway all your gear and dark shades big smile. we didnt have good day but caught a big fish too keep us in the hunt ,, thanks for walking over making our day by wanting to know everything about how we caught the big girl. forgive us for bringing you up on the old walleyes first so often BUT we have gotten so adjusted to following your tournament results and name on the leaderboard we cant help but follow you where ever you go. God bless |
