Fished the bay from 6am till 4 today both shallow and deep. Bright Purple #5 with Chartruese tape on back with bright purple and Bright Chartuese beads worked for me today and it was a very specific bite. Out deep I caught fish running 50 behind a 3/8 oz inline. It took me about 2 hours to get my first fish and I ended up catching a dozen... not the type of days I had last year, but I'll take it for my first trip out of Suamico.

My goto blade, firetiger blanked today... I'm still in shock, first time in 3 years and it made me really scamble to come up with a blade/bead combo that would produce today. Glad I spent all last winter tieing different combos.

Nothing over 23 today and most of the fish I caught were 20-23 inches. Lots of guys fishing and with no wind it made for an interesting day. I was reeling in a double and had a guy who was not paying attention take a hard right and drive right behind my boat at a right angle and he actually had the ba*** to say "nice catch as he cut off my remaining board... in the middle of the lake. He then put a mark on his GPS and proceded to do circles around that spot for the next 45 minutes... WOW I can't imagine what the weekends are like out there!!

Skeeter I was out ther from 11 to 4 managed 9 nothing under 19" today. Had 25" 22" 2-21" and the rest where around 19.5 to 20.5. Purple was hot for me today along with puke yellow 1 1/2 once inline 25 to 30 back. Was fun and interesting fishing alone today but I learned a lot and there where not to many boats out where I was today most I seen was 10 and for the most part everyon played nice

Going back tomorrow to take a kid out who was never out on the bay should be fun hope we can manage a few of the Bay Monsters to give him a great memory.

I was just wondering if you guys that are catching these walleyes from the bay are keeping them and eating them. I was just curious if they are ok to eat? Thanks

Just to clarify my eariler point.... the guy that cut off my board did not do it intentionally, he was just not paying attention and he and his wife did not look like they really knew what they were doing. They looked like a drunk sailer walking down the street swaying all over the place and he did not even know he cut off my board and I did not say anything back to him, I never do!

Yes I keep the 15-22 inch Walleyes. I bleed them out in the live well and then ice them down in the boat and on the trip home. I don't think they taste any different than the fish from Bago, although, I am growing a 3rd arm as we speak.

Just like on Bago I will keep anything under 20" over 20" goes back to reproduce. No difference in the taste and like skeeter I ice them down on the trip home. Today I kept 0 fish had a blast just watching them swim free, could not ask for a better day.

Sounds like he was complaining about peoples boat control and not the amount of people. You know as well as the rest this is no "secret spot" so give it up.I know where your vote goes for the reports thread.Nice report PS

Chill out risor. I could care less what PS reports. It appeared that he was complaining about pressure on GB. If you want to report your every move on a body of water, go right ahead... but then don't complain about a bunch of people following you.

Personally, I won't share information on a public message board. Call me selfish if you want - I don't feel like inviting hundreds of people out to where I'm trying to get some peace and quiet and enjoy myself. If you or PS want to post about every fishing trip you make, go nuts. I don't feel that I need to share my locations or success with a few hundred people I don't know.

BTW, just as its your right to post about your success on the water, its my right to keep it to myself or share it with my friends so they have a little better chance at showing their family a good time on the water.

Take care and enjoy your time on the water.

Brad,

How do you explain the 3 different TV programs this week alone that reach thousands of anglers and featured local tournament anglers showing specific places and techniques on the Bay of Green Bay. Please pick up the phone and tell your fellow tournament guys that are making tv shows for the money to please stop it on our behalf. There is no need for them to broadcast specific stuff on the Bay of Green Bay. Why do they need to show the type of rods, reels, baits, Boat Type and dealer purchased from. People from all over the Midwest are watching the shows and invading our fishing spots... you know these fellow tournament guys, tell them to stop it or they will ruin our secret fishing spots.

Or the thousands, yes thousands of posts on the Bay of Green bay and Winnebago that take place on Lake-link. Today alone, there were 15 specific reports on the Bay of Green Bay and Bago.

Please humor me and tell me you are not serious about a couple of us here that get a kick out of posting mostly commonly known information about well know local fishing spots... I need a good laugh tonight.

PS... I was not responsible for the 3000 boats trolling the mud on Bago over the last 2 weeks even though I did make a few posts about that... dam.. I'm sorry for that one...

You don't have to worry about me.You guys must be feelin the pressure of all the tournaments or something.I just get kind of tired of some that complain about people reporting the success they have.I realize some don't care to share their wheres whens and how to's and thats fine by me but don't come and complain about others doing what they do.This site would be kind of useless if nobody put up any tips and tricks don't you think?I don't need to know who won what tournament or how much cash so and so won.I could give a rats behind.I'm on here to get some info and maybe share the little I know with others. When I first started to visit this site it was a very helpful bunch of guys and I visited often and even met a few decent guys to fish with. Now there are more tournament guys that feel evrything they know is top secret stuff and you should be shot for even asking for a little help.If this is what fishing is to some you need to look for a different hobby.OK I'm done with my little whine.I like cheddar by the way.LOL

Jeesh... you guys need to fish more or something...LOL... All I said was that it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to post reports about locations and then complain about the pressure... Stop and think about that for just a minute before you feel you need to go off me again.

And like I said in my second sentence above, I COULD CARE LESS WHEN YOU POST FISHING REPORTS. Post all you like if it makes you feel better. I don't need to let others know that I can catch fish to feel good about myself and I don't feel as though I owe hundreds of people that I don't know any favors.

And for the record, I help quite a few people from both this site and others. But I won't post any specifics on a public board because I don't want to put up with a few hundred of my closest friends all on the same spot I want to fish.

Lastly, I didn't make my original post with any spite or malice intended. I see nothing wrong with what I posted. It was an observation. Not a condemnation.

Brad my observation was not at anyone in particular just my feelings on the way I see it.I don't post every time I go out.And I don't see a need to post specific areas just some general info is all I see fit to post.We all need help sometime.Myself maybe more than others LOL.I take most of what I read here with a grain of salt.i feel that the more people I fish with the more I understand about different ways others use and maybe help me also.Heres to all the people I've fished with THANKS for helping a guy learn a few things from you.I hope I can return the favor.P.S. thanks also go out to the many posters here as it has been a very useful site for me.

I gotta agree with brad on this one!! Don't post all the specifics and then complain about others on the water.

Post 'em....you know the old saying "should have been here yesterday" Although personally I wait a few days if possible before divulging too much info. Anything we can do to help others be successful and educate our kids is a GREAT thing.

I got an email from a young guy last week that was looking at my reports from the same time a year ago and they helped him catch a few fish this year! How great is that. I do limit what information I put out, but then again a photo of a blacked out bait or a shoreline is fun to discuss. Can it be valuable info that would jeopardize my next experience on the water? Most likely not. We love this sport and I can't think of a better feeling than helping another be successful on the water.

Sportsman/Fisherman are a minority and highly unlikely to damage a large system. Unless of course they are violators. I am still amazed at the amount of people I talk to everyday that do not know we have a posession limit in WI which includes their freezer!

A person still has to find time to fish!

Good Luck

Well said Tyee... I'm still sorting through all my Crankbaits with silver hooks to see if I can find a match.

I have also received quite a few e-mails from guys that just e-mailed to say thanks for helping put them on fish with their kids in the boat because they can't get out on the water as often as they used to. Heck, I just figured that if I'm fortunate enough to be able to get out on the water as much as I do, I might be able to help others in common areas of the lakes get on fish a little faster.

Brad,

You said "I don't need to let others know that I can catch fish to feel good about myself" Don't assume that's the reason I post reports... and that's not why I post... I thought this site is for... Fishing reports... both giving and receiving... so what is the purpose of this site.

If you read my posts over the last year, I've asked several times why there are no fishing reports on this site... and it's why I posted the survey.

Gosh Darn it Dominic, after following your advice about Geanos I caught about 10 eyes sunday. Ranging from 16" to 24". Now what really pissed me off was that I had to clean 4 of them. I don't appreciate the help so please quit it some more. (Oxymoron). Thanks, Pat
