Location: Rhinelander | The 1890 GDC is a great boat! Talk about a Muskie Machine, this thing has ROOM! I had two outdoor writers in the rig yesterday and there was plenty of room, very comfy. I had her at 62 GPS yesterday, but didn't push her because she isn't totally broken in yet.
The decks are perfect for three working muskies, bass, or jigging 'eyes. the removable rear deck takes about 4 minutes to put in/take out if you want the cockpit space.
This is the Muskie rig the big water guys have been waiting for from Tuffy. On one knee, and I'm at the water working on a release, and big water is a breeze. Rick and Steve, GREAT JOB on the GC models!

| Bring them Hooter's Girls to the GTG!
How's that rig run with the kicker on the port side. I was told that a padded boat has to have the kicker on the starboard side to counter the prop torque. I'd rather the kicker be on the port side. It came on the Starbord.
Oh, looks nice. I will be in that at some point this summer. No?

Location: Rhinelander | This bad boy is one of the best riding Tuffy models I've driven. Fast, with two people and a load she is right at 60 with a Rev 4, and 58 with a Hi 5. One hole up and a 23 Hi 5 seems to be the perfect combination for my use. The rig is lighter than the standard Osprey or Esox Deep V because the cap is gone, and has a TON of open deck space and a lower profile. It's a Muskie boat all the way.
Norm Wild has the rig for a couple days as his Tuffy Pro Team boat is getting rigged up. He called me from the lake to tell me how impressed he was with the ride, and was at the Eagle River tournament yesterday showing it off.
On the water shots tomorrow night at Rhinelander Muskie League. |

| I can vouch for what Steve said, this is a nice riding rig. I have been running it for the last 5 days or so, and have been very pleased with it.
I run a 1890 DS, a boat I still love to death. The GDC is a completely different ride. It is a touch more bass boaty (I am sure I just made that word up but you get the idea), and has a completely different attitude on the water than the DS does. It is noticeably lighter on the water, and just feels a touch more sporty. It really runs sweet when you let it hang out. I had it out yesterday on Pelican in solid three footers, and it performed nearly identical to the DS.
Nice rig, I tip my hat to the folks at Fiberdome. I was also very pleasently surprised with the Opti on the back. Maybe next year.
