Location: Rhinelander | The weather this morning looks to be about perfect with winds moderate out of the South. Temps will be hot this afternoon, but a good breeze will keep the anglers from baking out there. Super Pro events launch at 8 AM and come back in to weigh at 5 PM.
Most of the Pros interviewed by WalleyeFIRST this morning spoke of the difficulty finding the really big fish the Wabigoon is famous for, we will see tonight...

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Great pictures as always Steve. I could almost smell the paper mill and pine tress.
Looking through them I have a couple of questions:
What's up with the MuskieFirst sign by the Indian Point sign?
Where's the video you promised of the big pike while muskie fishing?
Catch any muskie?
Guys having problems with the shallow reefs/rocks?
Any sponsor trailers show up? |

From what I have heard and the guys I talked to this morning, none of them had problems with the rocks/reefs. However, I'm not 100% sure no one did though. Sounds like most of the tech trailers made it here, but I know the Lund trailer did not. They wanted them to document everything in the trailer, anything from parts to every tool they had. So once they said that, they turned back around and headed home.
But anyhow, no muskies for me yet. Dad had one on two nights ago and had one try to eat a baby weagle three times last night but it never totally got it. Otherwise, it's hotter than heck up here, although, it's not Mobridge, South Dakota. hehe

Location: Rhinelander | MARK BRUMBAUGH Leads the PWT Super Pro on Wabigoon on day one with fish he had by 10:30 this morning. Mark has a 'special pattern' going, and it paid in spades today with two nice 'over the slot' fish and a limit of slot fish.
"We left our spot by 10:30, we didn't want to burn any more slots fish there, " he said on stage ( watch for video soon).
The Goon was generous for most in the way of a limit, but the big fish were hard to come by for many. Tomorrow, thunderstorms and cooler temps are promised.
Watch WalleyeFIRST tomorrow for the best Walleye Tournament coverage on the web!
