| Does anyone know if Petenwell is on the 2008 FLW League schedule?
Thanks,

| No word yet, but my guess would be yes.

Location: LaCrosse, WI | I would think it probably will be. Petenwell is one of the better choices for an early event (April). There has been a lot of discussion in the past about possibly doing a Mississippi river event, but there has also been a lot of opinions about keeping the events closer to the greater amount of anglers (Fox Valley area).
Personally, I would welcome either event. Petenwell and the Mississippi offer a lot of challenges to anglers and is a totaly different type of fishing than we get at the other two events. I think that it will remain Petenwell for at least a few more years. |

Location: Appleton wi | I'd like to see a change o location/time of tourny. My vote would be april bago ,May Gb and a july mississippi tourny. My first 2 loc/time would be the same as first year flw league event.JMHO |

Location: LaCrosse, WI | Basically when I discussed this with Sonny last year, he said that the FLW wasn't sure what kind of draw they would get at some other locations. It's kind of a "If it aint broke" situation. There is actually a decent showing of locals at Petenwell, and I'm not sure how many there would be on the Mississippi. A lot would depend on time of year, and which pools were involved.
I think it would almost have to be on a lower pool like 7,8,9 or 10. They allready have a pool 4 event. This might draw some Iowa and MN anglers in too. That being said, I personally know some boaters who have told me that they flat out do not want to fish the Miss, and some even wish to do away with Pete as well.
I just hope they keep one event on this half of the state. Petenwell is the only event that's within an hour of m, with the others being 2-1/2 to 4 hours away. This helps with the ability to get over and prefish some the weekend before. |
