Location: LaCrosse, WI | I've seen Yamahas and Evinrudes on Tuffys. I think Slipknot from this site has Yamahas on his 1760. I think you'll start seeing more motor brands on Tuffys in the future, but I for one wouldn't mind a 2060T with a big black tiller hanging off the transom. Maybe sometime soon. |

| Tuffy is a regional boat builder, so yes you'll see a higher number of Mercs on them since Mercury leads motor sales in the upper midwest.
Tuffy is also partnered with Mercury, again meaning more Mercs on the boats.

this is a good thing since Mercury makes great motors and i like supporting local manufacturers. i've been supremely happy with the Optimax on my 1890.
i've got a friend running a purple Evirude e-Tec on his Esox Magnum and another who's got a white Johnson on his 1700. i know a few are starting to sport Suzuki's as well (although that's still black i suppose).
depending on the dealer there are different brands available for pairing with the boats.

| Mike Rabetski runs a 200 ETEC HO on his 1890. Butch Rabetski runs a 225 Opti on his 2060. Butch is the smater brother. hehehe
You can get any make motor on a Tuffy that you want. It's not Tuffy who decides what motor you get. It's you and your dealer. |

Location: DeForest, WI | Are you thinking of going glass now KOMO?
Ted T told me at the fishing expo....
Once you go glass you never go back....
You will have to change your logo on your sign in hahahahah.. |

| Hey M-Komo, that offer for the day in the Tuffy still stands. |

| GNWC was correct, I do have yammy's on my tuffy, but for the most part you will only find mercs on the back. But i can assure you one thing, every tuffy i own will have those big grey 4-strokes on the back! |

Location: Orland Park, IL | Nope, still love the G3.
I think the first tuffy I fished in was Dan Macguires a couple of FLW seasons ago. It was nice. Another buddy on the Illinois/Mississippi River runs a 20ft tuffy. Not a popular boat down here. But wow, the FLW guys really love it. |

| Glass under your gluteus, and black on back! That's the way to go Komo! Actually, there are many good motor options. One of the nice things about Tuffy, put whatever you want on the back. If you remember, Mark, my 1760 actually had a 150 Johnson on it. |

Location: Orland Park, IL | Yep, mud duck I remember. Thats sorta what got me thinking about the main motor component. Also, seen quite a few at MWS winnebago.
Does the factory pre wire with controls for a specific model, like black, or can the factory make a change based on request? |

| Factiry prerigs for specific motor manufacturer. When you order the boat from your dealer, he will let the factory know which motor is going on it. |
