My brother-in-law passed away several years ago. His hobby was building custom fishing rods. I am looking for someone who is experienced to finish a rod he started. I plan to give the rod to his grandson. In exchange I will give the person finishing the rod all of his supplies. There is a rod wraping station / machine, lots of various winding thread, cork rings, reel seats etc. There is also his personal notebook with wraping designs / diagrams and a bunch of the Rodbuilder's Journal magazines. Please email me if you are interested. Thanks!

That's the coolest thing I've heard in a while. I would jump at it but am not a rod builder. Sure it won't be long before someone takes the offer. I would probably include the notebook with the gift to the grandson though. In the long run that may prove more special then the rod or at the very least a nice addition.

I am a rod builder and would more than be happy to finish the rod.
I have been rodbuilding for about 12 years and have done numerous
custom rods with intricate wraps and love to weave sayings
names dates etc on rods to make the rod even more special.
I live in Canada right on the border of Minnesota and Ontario
--Rainy Lake area -- Smallbass country!
I'll wait for your reply
