After following the PWT, I decided to try canadian waters. I just came back from a trip to Dryden Ontario where I went fishing on Wabigoon Lake. The fishing was fantastic and the real estate cheap... I am thinking of buying a cabin on that lake as the prices are still ridiculously low.

I vacation on the Goon every year, and have for nearly 30. Big fish of all species, and REALLY big pike and muskies.

Actually, no, the Goon has never put out a record Muskie (World or Canadian record), but 'skis to 50# are not that rare. I stay at Indian Point Camp, comfortable, in a section of the lake that is protected pretty well in most of the big winds up there, and centered in some of the best fishing on the lake.

Walleyes, big Pike, monster Muskies, and big Smallmouth bass.

Great place to vacation!
