Location: Manitowoc, WI | My son Brandon and I spent the holiday weekend chasing around the golf course flying rats, a.k.a. Giant Canada Geese. So far the count is 7 with hopes for more, as I need about 20 or more to make goose sausage. Here's a photo of Brandon with a double we got including his first.

Location: Menasha, WI | Too bad you can't hunt at the boat ramps on the west shore of Bago. We could do without so many of those poop machines. Nice job Brandon! |

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin | 20 geese? My fingers are getting sore just thinking about picking that many birds... hahaha
What's the possession limit on those things? I've never really had much interest in the early goose season as mosquito's find me way more attractive than I find early season goose.
Congrats to Brandon! |

The daily limit is 5 and the possession limit is 10.
I agree with the plucking comment, but I do not pluck any of them. I open up a hole near the chest and skin them. Then I fillet the breast meat off. I also trim what is available on the leg and thigh area. We generally end up with about 3-4 lbs of boneless meat from an average bird. All that meat is brought to the butcher and combined with pork to make great sausage. |

| Great smile on Brandon! Glad to see you're helping controll the population, jerry. Looks like you two had fun.
Been a long time since I hunted waterfowl in this state. Perhaps I should run out to ND, and get all my dekes! |

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin | Ahhh... skinning them would save a TON of time.
We have generally cooked our geese in the crock pot (salt, pepper bbq sause = a dish most will swear is bbq beef). If I ever get back into waterfowling, I'll have to give that sausage a try. |
