Location: Rhinelander | One of the true gentlemen of Professional Walleye Angling won the PWT Super Pro at Cass Lake, Mn. today, and won convincingly. Even on the stage with the $86,000.00 in cash and prizes and the 1st Place trophy in hand, he stated, " I was lucky!"
It took way more than luck for Brad Davis, Skeeter/Yamaha/Stowmaster Pro, to put the three winning baskets together on a tough bite under rapidly changing conditions. He ground out the win rigging deep water, and it was obvious he AND his Co Anglers were enjoying the competition. He was fishing with two other Pros in the area days One and Two, but had a few more rigs in the area to beat on day Three.
Brad held off a hard charging Gil Mollet to win by almost two pounds; a slot fish weight on this water. Lund/Mercury Pro Perry Good weighed the biggest basket of the event today at 17.34# to anchor third and big basket honors.
Fourth went to Mark Gwizdala exactly 4 pounds off the winning pace.
One of the big stories of this event was the 5th and 6th place finishes by Tracker/Mercury Pros Chase Parsons and his Dad, Gary Parsons. Chase beat his Dad by less than half a pound, but that was enough to make them both pretty happy. Gary Locked up the prestigious PWT Angler of the Year award for an unprecedented third time.
It would not be an event if it were not for another top ten finish by Lund/Mercury Pro Mike Gofron.
Crestliner/Mercury father/son duo Danny and Dan Plautz finished 8th and 10th, bracketing an 9th place Jay Weber to round out the Top ten.

| Too bad he had to deal with more boats in his area on day three, but who didn't know that would happen? sheesh! lol
Hey Steve,
What was the boat he won at this event? The payout says he gets 45K cash and a boat....what is the boat/motor combo size (the payout listing on the PWT site doesn't say)?
Just curious...
Thanks,

Lund/Mercury package worth the difference.
Does that mean you don't know? Or, you just don't want to say, for some unknown reason? Is it a secret???
Obviously it is a package "worth the difference"...I can do simple addition and subtraction (on most days anyway...heheh). I was just curious what that package was this time, since it's been different a few times in the past.
By the way...great job on the coverage!

| Hey Steve or Zach...
Just go ahead and delete my posts to your thread here. I called Brad Davis and got the scoop.
Thanks,
Juls
