Well, this morning I found the river full of shell ice. I doubt it will freeze over completely anytime soon, it is going to warm up at weeks end, but it shows it is getting closer.

The river is slowly and begrudgenly giving up to the temps. The edges have been crust for a few days and the shell ice gets thicker everyday. I think if you want to, you can get a boat in and fish. Lets see what the next week brings. I will let you know as things happen.

Most ice gone this morning. Boats can move freely.

River is slowly filling up with snow. Lots of snowbergs coming down and starting to pack in the edges. Lets see what happens when it is all over with. might get a good freeze with the floating bergs. FYI, there was boats out on sunday that caught fish.

lots and lots of snow bergs but the heavy wind has them pushed to the edges. If it blows all day, it may melt them down. We have white caps here right now.

Welllll...... that was a cold night. It made everything frozen, everything. The river is no longer accepting boat traffic as of this morning. 7 degrees here and all the way through Fremont all the way down to us is completely frozen. Time to start the ice out countdown.
