Subject: MWC Green Bay Day One

Location: Rhinelander

The unbelievably horrible weather in the North has hit the system like a steam roller over the last few weeks with nearly 5" of rain and never ending winds. Today was no exception on the Bay as the winds howled and anglers were restricted to the River.

Tomorrow looks pretty sketchy as well with steady rain starting just after the launch and winds coming in out of the NE at 14 mph. A storm or two is possible.

The leaderboard shows what should be expected from the river this time of year. In first are Bartsch and Sage of Green Bay with 13-07, second are Dave and Ken Van Oss 05 ponds back, third are Passo and Rabetski with 12-15, fourth are Nanna and Josephs with 12-09, and rounding out the top 5 are Severson and Severson Jr. with 11-13. Four pounds separates the leaders from 20th place, so if the field of 69 boats can get out on the big water tomorrow, it's anyone's game.
