I know, Jerry. It's not slow here, but I still gotta rant.

Buck, I'm not saying they shouldn't be rubbin a bit, but come on. You race Stewart hard, and he'll drive you into the wall. If what he says is true about racing hard early in the race, why don't they cut the races down to 100 laps or 100 miles!

No way Earnhardt did anything like Stewart is doing. I never recall Earnhardt driving down on somebody because they raced him too hard. Stewart needs to be sanctioned!

NO one would watch that stuff if it did'nt have drama. look at who watches and then look at who watches that wrestling. Without all the drama they would'nt watch, the hot chicks without clothes covering them. I can't relate to either event, I have nothing in common with car racing nor grown men holding each other. A guy once told me that car racers are the best atheletes in the world, that alone told me everything I need to know about the fans. 3 hours of cars going around in a circle has no place in my busy life.

Terrible thing that happened this past Saturday night. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Kevin Ward.

This should end Stewart's career.

I do not follow racing, so, being curious, I need to know: Why should this end his career?

Just don't think his sponsors will stay with him. Given his history, there will always be the shadow hanging over him going forward, that he just won't get out from under. My guess is, he has to sell his interest in his team, and retires from racing altogether.

Just have to say I do not think Stewart tried to hit Kevin Ward.

Don't follow or know a lot about racing. In fact, I'm kinda in the "Jerry" school of thought when it comes to racing in general. But wonder if there is, or why there is not, a "Stay in your Car Rule" (if it's not on fire of course). Maybe some heavy fines or future race disqualifications for leaving your vehicle when under a green flag when on the track, would make drivers think and prevent this from happening again.

Nascar is what all the other race circuits look up to. They can be the ones to put an end to this. It was only a matter of time before this happened. If not for it being Tony we would probably never heard of it.

The solution is simple, if you get out of your car and make an aggressive move toward another driver on the track you get suspended for a number of races, second offense you are banned.

If you must leave the car go to the nearest off track area and wait for the safety crews otherwise you must remain in the car until the safetey crew gets there.
