Location: La Crescent, MN | We will soon (anticipate within 30 days) be porting our message board to a new system. This will preserve all of the features you have become accustomed to and will add others. This move is necessary for OFM to achieve the goal of a single sign on (SSO) across all of our services (message boards, photo galleries, uploads, classified ads, etc) and to launch our new responsive design by this fall.
There will no longer be separate accounts per message board, one account will give you access to all.
There is a downside. All users will be required to request an automated password reset in order to access the new system, as passwords cannot be transferred with your account. Because of this, be sure the email address associated with your account is current, since your email address will be used to authenticate your user account.
For those who have multiple message board accounts tied to the same email address (i.e. one for walleye, one for bass, one for muskie) we anticipate automerging your accounts to the username with the highest number of posts. For accounts with different email addresses, we will provide a tool to merge your accounts if desired. If we encounter duplicate usernames between boards, we will contact those users prior to the system transfer to deal with those cases individually.
