I will start the ice in thread soon. I will be looking at backwaters to walk on sunday morning. Fishing in the Fremont area has been slow to say the least. There are fish here and there for the pickings but have heard of no big schools.

OK Here is what I found. The back waters are froze. There are some open spots but most are locked. The main channel has shell ice. and there are floats coming down in a steady line. Dock areas are froze. I will start a ice out thread when travel on the river becomes to dangerous. With the looks of the upcoming weather, that should be soon.

We found 2 plus inches of ice on a small shallow lake in Waupaca county. Most were showing about 1 inch. could not stand on it.
