Member Posts: 1382 | It's cloudy and misting in Cleveland Ohio this morning, with light to moderate winds. A front is moving through today, with a chance of showers attached and a high in the 60's. 53 Pros and Co Anglers headed out at about 7:30 this morning to what is reported to be a good bite for 3 to 5 pound fish. Ross Grothe told WalleyeFIRST this very early morning he has had a great pre-fish, and feels the winner will be the Pro who finds a few of the big fish lake Erie has to offer on top of the abundant year class of 4 pound fish. ( See Morning Video). Weigh-in coverage will begin about 3 PM with live audio form the Convention Center in Cleveland. Join us for the Weigh in! Member Posts: 1382 | Still warm, cloudy with a low ceiling, and low winds at 11AM in Cleveland, Ohio. it looks like a band of showers will go through as a dome of high pressure that will dominate the weather the rest of the week moves in.

Member Posts: 1382 | The competition to make the Top Ten Final Cut was intense today, as David Kolb weighed in last but ended the day leading the field with 37.31 pounds. Many of the pros mentioned the front blowing through and the resulting rough conditions, but everyone made it in good shape. The bite was good enough to require 24.25# to make the Top Ten today. The forecast looks good tomorrow through the rest of the event barring an unseen weather event, so the anglers should be able to get to their fish with little trouble. The anglers leave tomorrow morning at 7:30 eastern time. Watch for morning updates and Day Two images early tomorrow morning! Member Posts: 3899 | Seems to me, Dave Klb won one an FLW Erie event a few years ago. WOW! What a basket of fish! ANd not even the leading big fish in that sack. Glad to see a few 30# plus bags today. Rooting for Keenan and J Gilman. And Terry Seidl(19th) on the Co Angler side. Hope everyone fairs well out ther today in rough conditions. And hope not too many break stuff. Great coverage on the Live Leaderboard WalleyeFirst! It's alot of fun to hear Steve and the guys on stage.
