Location: Lake City MN | I finally was able to wrap up my muzzleloader season a week ago with a couple of nice does on the last day. Spent the next week butchering deer and getting them in the freezer. Sunday I loaded up the ice fishing gear and spent a really pleasant afternoon fishing for gills on the finger lakes just bellow the Alma dam. Tons of smaller sized fish and an occasional 8 to 9 incher. I gave up on waxies after catching atleast 50 small fish and got into a few keepers when I switched over to jigging a small cicada, all in all a great way to spend an afternoon and man were them winter gills tasty. With this little warm up it's going to be tough to leave the boat in the garage also, got to love winter. Good luck to all...
