With this last cold snap the boat has been sitting dormant in the garage the past week and the clam has been out on the ice of Pepin. Made a run last weekend just south of town and set up in about 26 ft of water thinking I could put a few saugers on the ice. I kept seeing a few fish on the Vexilar at about 17 ft so I cranked up to em and found out they were some nice big slab crappies, what a find. If the weatherman is anywhere near right it looks like the boat may be an option again by Sunday, but Saturday is reserved for another shot at those slabs. Good luck to all and see you on the water....
