| looking at a 1800 Regeneade to run on Green Bay can anyone tell me how they are in rough water thanks Al |

| I'm surprized no one from Tuffy have answered your question.I'll tell you what I can and hopefully my memory is correct.The 1800 series is different then the 1760.It was fazed out in 2000.It's a liitle longer,wider and heavier then 1760.It's also slower.I recall being told it did have a smooth,dry ride in rough water.I believe that boat still used wood in the floor and transom.I'd be more concerned with the wood's condition then anything else.That goes for just about any boat from that era.If the wood is solid and the price is right and you like the layout,buy it. |

| At the time that boat was built, it was considered a great ride, handled the big water great, and was fast. I don't think it's the same hull as the Rampage. The Rampage was more of a sponsoned V, I think. I think 150 HP Max console, it was a pretty fast boat. These boats had pretty nice layouts, with the side storage, livewell, and rod lockers.
I agree with the wood comment. Take a close look at the bottom, and the strakes for any cracking. Also look in the bilge area for any signs of constant wetness.
Definately not the same boat as Tuffy builds today.

| The 1800 was one of the best rough water fishing boats ever produced. It is not a sponsoned v hull, it is a true v hull with a sharp keel towards the bow that really slices through the water. We'll try to dig up an image to post. |

| Some of the guys I knew that ran them, loved them. Ralph Dierks always talked about the the great ride in rough water. I believe it was Glynn & Schmerbach back in the day that I watched run across a whipped up Big Stone. That boat was certainly a wave crushing machine! |

| you will be very happy with the ride of the Renegade. with the big v-plow on the front you will go through any wave. now if Tuffy made the same hull in a 20 foot boat . |
