Jim Kalkofen was on The Fishing Fanatics radio show last night, Feb 21, and let everyone know about the future of PWT. In fact he let us all know how many years the PWT will be around for sure. Good stuff.
Also, the state of Illinois IHSA (Illinois High School Association) has authorized bass fishing tournaments as a sanctioned sport starting in 2009. The IHSA is the first state high school sports sancitoning body in the country to recognize fishing as a legitimate sport.
Hopefully the rest of the Republic will pick up on this and start treating our sport as the real deal.
This is awesome news for the future of the sport we all love.
Oh yeah, Rick LaCourse was on the program as well giving his insight into whether or not the sport of pro walleye angling is an affordable business to get involved with.
