Has anyone been fishing around sturgeon bay or north? I've been out a couple times and don't seem to see many people fishing at all. I was hoping for a couple reports from up there because I have a couple free days and would like to continue fishing up there but those critters have been elusive as of late. At least for me anyway. Any spots or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have not heard anything about that are, but there are reports of massive catches on the southern end as of late. Alot of guys have been coming into the shop talking about big fish and big numbers in the last week.

Coming up to Door County, Ellison Bay, June 7-14, just wondering if anyone can give me some walleye info about that area and the time of year. I have family in Oconto, but we are taking a family trip to Door County. I am taking the boat because usually every family vacation does revolve around fishing. Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Wallguy

Wallguy, The walleye fishing can be hit and miss that time of year. Many will fish at night or dusk and dawn. Concentrate on shallow water/shoreline near deep breaks. I'd highly recommend you take some casting gear and some bass lures. The bass fishing at that time of year is second to none and Door county hosts a world class fishery on both the Bay side and Lake Michigan side. So you should be able to fish any day regardless of the wind.

Good Luck

Ill be up there about the same time. If the boat is allowed, I'll leave the walleye stuff home, and do the smallmouth thing. Jayman is correct. Outstanding opportunities for smallies at that time and on that side.
