| I have rode in both boats. I liked the ride of the tundra better so I bought a 21 Team Tundra I have never been happier. Nothing wrong with either boat you just need to pick the one you like best. I would go to a dealer or find a friend who has one go for a ride and make your decision after that. |

thanks for the reply and the offer. I've ridden in a 21 foot Tracker many times and know that is a great ride, but I have yet to ride in a 215 Triton. I did get an offer for that as well. I was looking for people who have had the chance to ride in both and let me know what they think, but not alot of replies. I wish to upgrade to a 21 foot boat.

| I have ran a 21' Tundra for 4 years in northern Lake Mi. and some trips to Lake Superior, been very pleased with ride and performance. That being said, the Triton is a great boat also. No matter what your choice is, you can't go wrong. Compare the interior layout, storage, etc. to see which one matches your style of fishing the best. I use mine for walleye and salmon. The curved gunnels of the Tundra presented a little challenge for mounting downriggers, but it al worked out fine. Good Luck with your purchase. |

| How did you mount your downriggers to your curved gunnels on your tundra? I have a tundra also and have a couple ideas, but if you have something that works, I'd love to hear it.

| I had a friend (woodworker) make a couple blocks that were flat on top, but matched the curve on the bottom, and drilled them to match the hole in my Scotty mounts. Bolted through the mounts and blocks, to large washers underneath. I also reinforced the mount by bolting a piece of stainless plate that attached to the inside vertical surface of the gunnel and the block, so in effect they are bolted to the top and side. Have worked out very well for 2 1/2 seasons, lots of rough water. I can get to the boat in a week or so, I'll send you a picture, not that complicated. Other materials besides wood could be used, I suppose, nylon etc., but the wood has held up well. I also mounted a piece of Bert's Tracks to each side in the same basic fashion for my dipsey rod holders. |
