Question is, what to do when you find out that they scratched your trailer and then took a paint can to it to cover it and had paint runs down the side of the frame. This was in for a repair on surge brakes that leak like a siv. Had even to fix a short in the clearance lights, from a bolt that went thru the fender. I hate to complain but when you spend 30 some G's on a rig it should be better than that. My old Shorlandre was built better than the new. I even went down to wash the new one and blew the lund stickers off the side of it. Washed my old one 10 yrs straight, no problem. Should be no different if I had a screwdriver working on his pick-up and then took the paint can to it. Now that I got that off my chest. I think I'll be taking it back to the dealer anyway. The oil keeps dripping from the surge resevoir in the tongue. Thanks for your inputs.

I'd take it back. If it's that apparent that you can tell, for sure take it back. If there going to try and cover something up like that, at least they can do a better job at it than leaving paint runs.

(A) I WOULD TAKE IT SOME PLACE THAT HAS A BIG SAND BLASTER. BLAST THE PAINT OFF AND HAVE THE TRAILER POWDER COATED.

(B) MAYBE THINK ABOUT GETTING A GALVINIZED TRAILER. I KNOW THERE UGLY BUT NO WORRY'S WITH CHIPING PAINT ETC.

Jack,
Take the rig back and have them touch the trailer up properly. Warranty on the trailer will take care of your other trailer issues, that's exactly why there's a warranty. Post a picture of the new rig when she's bug free and ready to rock!

I FEEL FOR JAKE. THEIR'S NOTHING WORST THAN BUYING SOMETHING BRAND NEW AND HAVE PROBLEMS LIKE THAT,ESP WHEN YOU PAY BIG $$$$$ FOR IT.
ONCE YOU GET IT TAKEN CARE OF SWING ON OVER TO MY PLACE AND WE'LL MAKE PLANS FOR A DAY ON THE LAKE. (ANDREW?) THE 2010 PRO GUIDE AND THE 1800 SPORT ANGLER OTTA MAKE FOR SOME BIG @#$ WAKES. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR TRAILER.
