Guys,
I need some help. I just installed my new LCX-27C on the boat ran the GPS module to a open acessorie switch in my boat. Fired it up and the depth finder works but I am getting a GPS module not responding message. The only thing I am not sure of is the "sheilded wire" I put with the negitive wire on the acessorie switch. Does this have to goto its own ground?

You need to switch just the Red power lead on the NMEA power cable. The shield should go along with the Black wire to Neg. Not sure how you have it, as you mentioned the neg wire on the switch?

If you are certain you have the NMEA networked powered, go into the System menu, and look for NMEA devices. You may need to update the firmware for the GPS, the head unit, or both. Get these from www.Lowrance.com.

Where are you located?

Had the same problem when installing my GlobalMap. Here is the link from Lowrance that explains the connections required.
