Looks really nice thanks for posting the pics. I do put all of my hard baits in plano boxes, the lakewwods i carry are for my endless supply of large plastics that i will not leave home. Just like walleye fishing i carry six of everything and that will never change. Maybe i need to go back to a big tiller. hmmmmmmmm.

here's a picture that gives a good perspective of the size of the front deck on the 1890. you can see one of my Lakewoods in the lower right in front of the console and how it's not in the way at all.
the X-190 deck is just slightly narrower, but a good bit longer...seems bigger overall to me when you're standing on it.

was out doing a little load balancing tonight and getting everything set for the season.

ran it up to 64.5mph on the gps at 5450rpms on a couple runs.
she started to chine walk a bit at that speed so i backed down since i'm not that good of a driver yet when it starts to walk.
full load of all my fishing gear, 1/2 tank of gas, and two full-sized guys; 23p Tempest prop.
that's the closest i've been to WOT (which is 5750rpms according to the Opti's manual); once i get more familiar with the way this boat handles and the "art" of steering out of the chine walk, i'll get the trim up higher and that extra 300rpms should tab another couple mph's on the top end.

but really, much more impressive to me is still the mid-range driving: running 20-25mph on plane at less than 3000rpms and 35mph at ~3400 rpms is going to be a great fuel saver on those long runs on Petenwell or Vermilion or a good place to run the boat to cut waves when the weather's up.
