| Sunday May 3, 2008 brought the close of the 2008 season for the Illinois Walleye Trail with the crowning of the 2008 Anglers of the Year. Max Actis and Mike Stuckert from Spring Valley had a great year on the trail competing aganist over 200 addtional anglers with a 2nd place finish, two 4th place finishes, two wins and a 3rd place at the final Championship. As Anglers of the Year they received $832.00 from the Anglers Fund along with $1,000.00 certificate from Mercury Marine, and as the highest placing Lund Boat owner a $1,000.00 bonus from Lund Boats in the Championship.
