Call it what you will, I have it and can't stand it anymore. I can't even play catch with my boys anymore due to the pain. Tried Naproxin and it worked, however, it tore my insides up and I can no longer take it. Was thinking of Cortizone injections but would like to hear from anyone who may have had this and if it works or not. It is even affecting my fishing. Help!!!!!!!!

I recently had a cortisone injection in my right elbow(tennis elbow he calls it)and it worked for a while-few days. Maybe a shot and p/t combined would be better.

Is this on top of the shoulder? I got it too, but it really only bothers me at night, when I put my arm over my head. Wakes me up sometimes. It got better when I started playing ball this spring with the boy and the girl. I wish my eyes could catch up to his slider!

Shep, I had it in my shoulder last year along with my right elbow. However, after a few months, it went away. Now my left elbow has it and I can barely move it sometimes. I might call a chiropractor and see what they can do. Maybe even a massage therapist.

I have had it for years. Torn rotator cuff. You did something to mess with it. I have had probly 10 cortizone injections in it. Same thing it wakes me up sometimes. The BEST thing to do is limit usage for a while to let it settle down. Had mine go out bad after setting a hook jigging with Hutch a few years back. Went to the vet and he shot it up again and allmost talked me into the surg.. One thing about cortizone is if the dont get it in the right spot it wont last long.

Heat/Cold therapy three times a day with limited use. 100% after about a month, without shots or surgery. Check with a good doc. It was so bad that I had to learn how to fish left-handed.
