I just heard on the news last night that the emergency No Wake in Oshkosh (maybe other areas too) will be extended until at least June 30th. I could not find any info on the net, but that's what I heard....be careful this weekend.

It's No Wake everywhere in the river from the 41 bridge to 900' east of the railroad bridge by the mouth.

I cannot believe that they extended it. Sunday there were many boats that were running the river. There were no signs at the city launch were we launched saturday stating this emergency rule, and there were police guys on the river saturday and I did not see them stop anyone. I was looking at the hieghts and its really not high at all. hmmm.

There were signs at Rainbow Park. The water is high, but certainly not any higher than in spring, however there is much more (and bigger) boat traffic now than in April, which can cause much more shoreline erosion. I can certainly understand the rule.

BTW, 4th of July fireworks have been cancelled in Omro and Berlin because of the high water/flooding.

I launched at Rainbow on Saturday and there were signs indicating the emergency rule expired on the 27th unless extended. However, there was no indication that the rule HAD been extended.

I just ask you guys because we have that every now and then up here on the wolf as well and they post heavily.

PS I launched near the mouth at a city launch where it was not posted.

See June 30th article from ABC website - dated June 30

Winnebago County authorities are letting one slow-no wake zone expire while extending a slow-no wake zone until later this week.
The emergency slow-no wake zone on the Fox River in the Oshkosh city limits will expire at 11:59 Monday night.
A slow-no wake zone remains in effect for the Fox River within the City of Omro, Township of Omro, and Township of Rushford.
A slow-no wake zone for Little Lake Butte des Morts within Winnebago County's boundaries has been extended until 11:59 P.M. on Thursday, July 3. That emergency slow-no wake zone has been in effect since June 18.
