Most of the Pros WalleyeFIRST talked to this morning wanted wind and clouds today to get the fish going after a slightly tighter bite yesterday under sunny skies and calmer conditions.

They got exactly what they asked for.

Winds to 30 MPH and more and showers in between partly cloudy sessions buffeted the boats about on Cass Lake this afternoon, and the bite did exactly what the pros said for those able to hold under the tough conditions. There was some movement in the field, but the top twenty wasn't much of a surprise. One fish made the difference for many over the three days of the event, as did just a small amount of weight even in consistent baskets.
