Location: Rhinelander | It's going to be a beautiful day in Bull Shoals today with a high temp of 88 degrees and winds 10 to 20 out of the SW. Not much of a change except for the increased winds, which are not a factor except for the welcome cooling effect for the anglers out in the Southern sun. The radar doesn't show a cell in the area, but it sure looks like a shower is on the way, and there's a 20% chance for rain later today. The Pros didn't think the pattern has budged, so the bite should be consistent with the last two days. Most felt the fish they've been working will be there, it's just the 'trick' of snaking them out of the wood and trees, brush and scrub. Bill Ortiz is rigging, IN the trees. He's actually dragging the rig through the wood, and allowing his presentation to get right down into the stuff while maneuvering with his bow mount. We didn't get a chance to talk to Mr. Orcutt, he was on the water and according to reports, pacing the rig waiting for the final day opening ceremonies. Mark Brumbaugh is fairly confident trolling cranks with 4/15 Spiderwire, tough enough to straighten out hooks are save a crank that sticks in the trees, and soft enough to break off if the bait becomes hopelessly entangled.
