Location: Stevens Point, WI | The last few months there haven't been too many posts about guys having problems with their newer color units.
However, many of the guys on MuskieFirst have expressed concern in many different aspects of the units. I've got two brand new LCX-27's this spring and have worked flawlessly for me. Don't have a thing to complain about, or maybe I do in the fact that I should have invested in two color units rather than just the one on my console a long time ago.
My question is, are there any walleye guys having difficulties with new color units? This is not meant to be a bashing thread but whether or not walleye guys are seeing the same issues. |

| I purchased a new X27 this spring, and so far so good. It does have all the latest updates. I did have a LMS 520 before that that did have the GPS puck go bad before the warranty was up. My dealer replaced it with a new one they had, and sent the bad one back to Lowrance. No down time. My X110 is three years old and has run flawless. I will always have at least one Lowrance GPS on my boats, mainly because they accept the Lakemaster chips. Seeing that I have been problem free, I guess I better go out and back up all my waypoints now.

| From I am gathering, a lot of the issues involve the updates Lowrance has put out that seem to mess up some units. I would suspect the other issue could be that they sell so many units. None the less, I have been a longtime Lowrance user and like the unit. It is a shame that the updates seem to cause so many issues.
Takle care,

| I have a new 522 and you can be in deep or shallow water at any speed and at certain times the depth will flash and the screen will freeze for a second. I just put the 2.3 version download on it but haven't had the time to see if it helped. |
