I have a 04 MK 65AP it works flawlessly, however i push the AP button, it lights up, but will not steer.

Is anyone aware of someone good around the east side of wisconsin that might be able to help me out, (without charging an arm and a leg)..

thanks

There is a place in Mosinee that is highly recomended. They do a lot of the Minn Kota repair state and nation wide. I can't think of the name off hand. If you call Minn Kota they can get you his name.

Yes. Get a hold of Chuck Brod at Sportsman's Repair. He's very good with this stuff.

You could also try Props Ahoy in Union Grove. They repair them as well.

This guy is an authorized dealer and alot of times he will fix it while you wait. I think this is the correct address and phone #; I know I have the name correct, but don't have his card in front of me. I will confirm the number later. And he is very good with repairs.

I took two AP65's at the same time, mine and a good friend's, to Ed Schilling and he repaired both while I waited. This was 4 or 5 years ago based on a recommendation from Shep and both have worked flawlessly since.

I ordered new style board. (the water proof one) and just plugged it in myself. 3 screws 5 wires with female/male style connectors. Really a simple replacement. Im willing to help anyone out around manitowoc, just order the board. And have a few coldies waitin.

Ed Schilling is THE guy to go to for Minn Kota, and Motor Guide repairs.

Fair pricing, and he is good at what he does. WHile others were ordering new compasses for their AP's, I took mine to Ed, and he calibrated it. That was in 02, and the thing still works perfectly today. Or at least it did last week when the boat got resold.
