Location: Rhinelander | WalleyeFIRST will have a crew there, and will be doing in depth video interviews with the Pros on and off the water during the early part of the week leading up to the tournament, providing reports on the bite on Wabigoon, and more. We'll be providing the most in depth live coverage of this event anyone has ever seen at a Walleye tournament, so stay tuned and watch for updates beginning tomorrow evening. Location: Rhinelander | Wabigoon is kicking out numbers, but the big fish are not showing themselves as much as reported a few days ago. Heavy rain and cool temps may have moved those big girls, but the weather has stabilized and looks absolutely fantastic for the event, if predictions hold. Water surface temps have been in the high 60's to mid 70's each day with warming from the partly cloudy conditions. Reefs and points are producing with jigs and cranks, the trolling bite has been acceptable, and the deep edges of the reefs are putting some fish in the net with vertical jigging Gulp. East winds have been the rule for several days, but not high enough to cause and problems at all. The forecast for the Opening Ceremony looks like 60's and light NE winds, 80 degrees for the high, partly cloudy and no precipitation at all. Thursday looks about the same with a wind shift to SE, and Friday the same with a wind shift to West. | ||
