Day 2 of the PWT Super Pro Can-Am event dawned with the Canadian Team holding down a strong lead of over 20lbs. over the US team.

The Canadian's seem to have better success with boating larger fish with several Pros getting one fish over 25 inches. Team Canada's weight was anchored by day 1 leader Dan Dolinski of St. Albert, Alberta who brought a monster basket to the scales with a five fish limit weighing a cool 19.18lbs. Dolinski holds just under a five pound lead over six time PWT winner and walleye fishings money leader Ron Seelhoff.

Mr. Dolinski felt confident in his bite and was sticking right to day ones game plan. Second place and Lund/Mercury Pro Ron Seelhoff said he too was confident and was going out to try and repeat yesterdays performance. Canadian Lund/Mercury Pro Alex Keszler who is currently in third place felt confident too but he said his key to his success yesterday was running and gunning. He said he will be hitting as many as 60 spots today feeling that if he were to chose just 10 spots he wouldn't have as much a chance of boating a larger fish.

Team Canada leads over Team USA 215.72 to 193.16. Hopefully Team USA can pick up the slack and make this a true shootout.

Today's weather looks wonderful with temps in the mid 70's to high 70's with light winds 5-10mph out of the east.

Stay tuned for live coverage starting at 5pm.

The bite held for most of the field today, as Team Canada staved off several charges by team USA to remain in the lead by over 20 pounds. Dan Dolinski did it again, weighing in an unprecedented Wabigoon second day limit of 17.65 placing his total weight at 36.83 pounds. Alex Kesler moved up with a second day weight of 12.41 pounds and a total of 26.31. Wayne Wagner, also Team Canada, pulled into third with a total weight of 26.13 based on a Day two basket of 17.78 pounds. Scott Dingwall rounded out the top Canadian Pros with a 4th place weight of 21.86.

That lead can be erased by a single limit on this water.

Team USA holds down the rest of the Top ten. Ron Seelhoff holds down 5th, Mark Martin 6th, Keith Kavajecz moved into 7th, John Kolinski holds 8th, Todd Riley moved into 9th, and Tommy Skarlis is in 10th.

Berkley Gulp is Dan Dolinski's lure of choice. He said onstage he's been using it for over 4 years, and others give him trouble about it when fishing with him 'For about 20 minutes...' and then switch over.

Watch tomorrow morning for WalleyeFIRST's continuing coverage of the PWT Super Pro Can Am out of Dryden, Ontario. Join us for our signature interactive live leaderboard and video feed for the final weigh in! Join us at about 5:30 PM.
